will someone PLEASE come do my laundry??

i know...i'm pathetic! i just hate doing laundry. well actually, let me clarify that...i hate that there is always laundry to do. i guess i should be greatful that i have clothes on my back and a washing machine to actually do the work of washing...but i'm just gonna whine right now. my dirty clothes pile is talking to me and i just wish i could teach it to wash, dry and put itself away...ahhh...i can dream, can't i?

well no new year is complete until you get your 1st ER trip...both girls were playing around this afternoon and ella was on the floor while abby was on the couch. ella was asking abby to pick her up...one thing led to another and out her elbow went again. i could have really hurled abby...she knows not to pull on ella's arms...and matt was out of town...so off to the ER we went. its sad when even the ER doctor recognized us!! can you say TRAIN WRECK?? after a couple hours of waiting and a whole lotta tears...i am happy to report, ella's elbow is back where it should be. and she is now quietly asleep (as i hope she stays all night...in her own bed!)

well no blog entry is complete without a good blackmail picture! haha! enjoy!

snow angels

well we have gotten a little snow in the last couple of days...might have actually been a significant accumulation if it had been a little colder, but it was perfect snowman building weather! the girls had a blast and got soaked, but nothing a little hot chocolate couldn't fix. i guess i better get myself mentally ready for all this snow, since we are moving to snow country!
speaking of moving, as many of you know we were due to move this summer, but now that date has changed. we will be leaving here in a couple months ( i will give out an exact date when we know it), but instead of being able to hop around the country visiting family we will be heading straight north to get abby back in school. we are planning on visiting with family this summer. the other significant event in our life year will be matt's deployment this fall. it's pretty much set in stone...so now i need to start preparing myself mentally for another year plus without him. we aren't planning on telling the girls until it gets closer as they have no real sense of time or what it really means. but just wanted to put that info out there.
well, hope you enjoy the pics!

strike a pose

well today abby got to have her 1st modeling job. she was so excited. she had been approached when we 1st got here, but wasn't interested in it. and then once she decided she wanted to try it, it took awhile to get her foot in the door. but today she got her wish and had a blast. she got to model 5 different outfits (each valued around $1000)...ridiculous! we are supposed to get the magazine when it comes out, but until then...here are some pics from today!

the brand names were all over the place...GAP, oilily, benetton, etc...but i think her favorite part of the whole time was getting her hair and make up done. she felt like a little princess. tonight before she went to bed she told me she hoped she dreamed about today again. guess i better get working on the scrapbook page that goes along with these pics!

on a different note...i was DROOLING over the photography equipment. i know i have said many times how i don't want to shoot in a studio, that i'm a natural light photographer...but i could really get used to having a studio! LOVED it! i felt like i had found my mothership! haha!

happy january 7th!

or whatever day it is there...i am bad about updating this blog, but have LOTS of mental entries stored deep within my little brain...i just wish i had a USB cable i could connect my brain to the computer! hmmm,....there's a thought!

well i got the pleasure of cleaning and organizing all my scrappy supplies off my kitchen counter...and let me tell you...there was no pleasure in that! it reminded me of all the layouts i need to do, all the supplies i have and all the effort it takes to haul it out of my little cabinet just to play. oh well, at least i'm blind from the shiny countertops!

took abby to the flower market on saturday. i love that place! will have to take my camera there one of these times...its just so beautiful! and CHEAP! i love it!! all these flowers plus a dozen red roses for $20! can you believe it?? this place is definitely my new happy place! i have to keep taking advantage of this place before we leave this summer!

have a good one!
